Our application process is as unique our residency. At NETS, we’re not just filling a slot, we’re making a commitment. And so are you. Our process is personal, prayerful and patient. But it does follow certain steps.
How to apply
- Read the website, paying particular attention to our Profile.
- Submit the online application form, along with your resumé and testimony. Applications are accepted throughout the year.
- We’ll be in touch, either to schedule a phone interview or end the application process.
- Following a successful phone interview, you may be asked to submit a preaching sample or additional materials.
The Discovery Process
Next comes an extended process of getting to know one another. This may include a formal interview with NETS President Wes Pastor and other NETS staff. There will be many conversations, often with multiple people over multiple years. We’ll get to know you and your wife through phone, email and Skype, recruiting trips and home visits. This gives everyone time to consider whether NETS is a good fit for you and your family.
The final step is a candidating visit. You’ll preach at Christ Memorial Church, meet with their elder board, and interact with mentoring couples and the church as a whole. Following this visit, the NETS Board of Directors will determine whether to invite you into our Residency Program.
